Tenho algumas ideias novas que espero concretizar e objectivos que tenho de cumprir. Talvez como toda a gente no início de todos os anos. Mas este ano, TEM DE SER! É o ano do Ou-vai-ou-racha!
I have some new ideas that I hope to materialize and I have goals to achieve. Perhaps like everyone else at the beginning of each year. But this year, IT MUST GO! It is the go-or-split year!

Depois de muito trabalho, de ter faltado às minhas aulas de costura e modelagem, lá estive eu no Porto. Correu tudo muito bem, a companhia foi óptima, fiz novas amigas e gostei muito da experiência! Pode ser que um dia volte. Quem me visitou foi a minha amiga Tó que não resistiu... que posso eu fazer? :D
After so much work, after missing my tayloring and sewing classes, there I was in Oporto. It all went very well, the company was great, I made new friends and I loved the experience! Maybe I'll come back some other time! My good friend Tó visited me and she couldn't resit us... what can I do? :D

Desfigura

Tenho um trabalho maravilhoso que escolhi.
Tenho um companheiro que não podia ser melhor.
Tenho a melhor família do mundo: um pai-herói, uma mamã-andorinha e uma irmã-melhor-amiga.
Tenho animais que me tomam como uma deles.
Tenho pessoas que gostam do meu trabalho.
Tenho coisas a aprender.
Tenho amigas que me escolheram.
Tenho vontade de acordar de manhã.
Tenho tido saúde.

Parece-me que não preciso de muito mais.

I have a wonderful job I chose.
I have a mate who could not be better.
I have the best family in the world: a father-hero, a mom-swallow and a sister-best-friend.

Uma visita ao Victoria & Albert Museum é sempre obrigatória.
Desta vez perdi-me de amores por este modelo do Alexander McQueen e pelo corte do fato do tempo da 2ª Guerra Mundial, tempo esse de contenção de meios e reaproveitamento inteligente dos materiais disponíveis.
A visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum is always mandatory.
This time I lost myself in love with this model of Alexander McQueen and by the tayloring of this suit from the time of the Second World War, on a time of containment facilities and intelligent reuse of materials available.

Este é um quadro de Lucien Freud que vi na Tate Britain. Tantas vezes que já fui a Londres e nunca tinha ido a este museu. Também nunca tinha visto ao vivo nenhum quadro de Lucien Freud e fiquei apaixonada por alguns, entre eles este Girl with a white dog (1951 - 1952).
This is a painting I saw from Lucien Freud at Tate Britain. So many times I've been to London and had never been to this museum. Also never seen any live painting of Lucien Freud and I fell inloved by some, including this Girl with a white dog (1951 - 1952)

Já tinha passado algumas vezes por esta loja e nunca tinha entrado.  É SÓ a Hamley's! A maior loja de brinquedos de Londres (talvez do mundo?!). Tenho a impressão que fiquei por lá mais de uma hora!
I had passed by this store a few times and had never entered. It's JUST Hamley's! The largest toy store in London (perhaps the world!?). I have the impression that I was there for over an hour!

Tive de pagar a minha estadia, mais uma vez, em géneros. Desta vez, comprei uma "máquina de tricotar" e fiz estes dois aos quais chamo "Comida para a Alma"!
I had to pay for my stay, once again, in products. This time, I bought a "knitting machine" and made these two to which I call "Food for the Soul"!

Eu sei, são novidades atrasadas, mas só agora deu para fazer aqui a reportagem. Assim foi a estreia do meu papi na Crafts & Design e correu lindamente! A logística foi por vezes complicada devido ao vento, mas penso que conseguimos apresentar o nosso trabalho dignamente.
I know these are old news, but only now I had time to make a report here. So the debut of my daddy in Crafts & Design went great! Logistics were sometimes complicated due to the wind, but I think we could present our work with dignity.

Coimbra tem mais encanto...

Para variar, fomos tão bem recebidas como em Julho, apesar de não estar tanta gente e não haver música na rua. Mas adorámos e havemos de voltar... só não sabemos quando. E ainda, trouxemos na bagagem mais duas amigas: a Ana e a Elisabete da Volta Meia Volta.
We were as welcome as in July, though there were not so many people and no music in the street. But we loved it anyway and we will come back ... just don't know when. And yet, in the luggage we brought two friends: Ana and Elizabete from Volta Meia Volta.
