By suggestion of a friend I started doing small sets to match and they have been a success! And I also love to see you so cute!

A minha caixa de costura | My sewing box

Queria mostrar-vos a minha caixa de costura que foi um presente da minha irmã, veio de Londres da John Lewis, é um amor e ainda não a tinha usado porque era linda demais, mas houve quem achasse que as luzes são sempre para ela. Miau.

I wanted to show you my sewing box that was a gift from my sister, came from London, bought at Lohn Lewis', is lovely and still had not used it because it was just too good, but there were those who thought the lights are always for her. Meow.

Crafts & Design parte I | Part I

Andei a dizer que tinha poucas coisas para vender e afinal tinha a banca recheada. Depois vim de mãos a abanar.

I've been saying I had few things to sell and actually had my stand packed. Then I came back empty handed.

Este foi um colar EME (Edição Muito Especial) que nem tive tempo de tirar fotografia sozinho: foi logo levado por uma senhora que ficava muito bem com ele.

That was a VSE (Very Special Edition) necklace and I had no time to take the picture alone: it was soon taken by a lady who looked great with it.

Market Stands

A propósito, lembrei-me de fazer uma colectânea das várias formas que a minha banquinha já teve. Sempre a pensar que têm de ser práticas, leves, que eu possa transportar sozinha, dentro do meu "Ferrari" e, acima de tudo, que vocês gostem.

By the way, I though about making a collection of the several shapes my market stand has taken. Always thinking of beeing practical, light, and portable by myself only, inside my "Ferrari" and, above all, that you enjoy looking at.

Dose Dupla | Double Dose

Tínhamos tantas saudades, tantas saudades que não vos largamos por dois fins-de-semana!
Dias 4 e 5 de Setembro e 11 e 12 de Setembro, das 10h às 19h no sítio do costume!

We missed you so much, so much we'll be all over you for two weekends!
4th and 5th of September and 11th and 12th of September, from 10 a.m to 7 p.m at the usual place!

PS: Já passaram 4 anos?!?!? Mas foi ontem que elas me mandaram um mail a convidar para uma feira no Jardim da Estrela mas tão em cima da hora que não tinha nada pronto e tive de deixar para o mês seguinte! Em Outubro não falhei! Olhem só como era a banquinha Do Not Push My Buttons! há 4 anos! Como estamos crescidas!

4 years have already passed?? But it was yesterday they sent me an e-mail inviting me for a fair in Jardim da Estrela but at the last minute so I had nothing ready and had to pospone for the next month! In October I did not fail! Look how was Do Not Push My Buttons! market stand 4 years ago! Look how we've grown!

Peças únicas. Como quase tudo Do Not Push My Buttons!, mas estas são "mais únicas" porque não sei se alguma vez arranjarei botões assim.

O primeiro ficou pelo Porto, a uma rapariga que me pediu que o assinasse. E aí, quem se sentiu "única" fui eu.

Unique pieces. As almost every Do Not Push My Buttons! piece is, but these ones are "more unique" because I don't know if I ever get buttons like these again.

The first one was taken in Oporto, to a girl who asked me to sign it. There, I was the one who felt "unique".

Galeria de Paris

Do meio-dia à meia-noite, no dia 7 de Agosto, estarei na Rua Galeria de Paris, Porto, na mostra de Artesanato Urbano!
Será uma nova experiência e estamos muito entusiasmados com a ideia: eu e os meus botões!

From midday to midnight, on August 7th, I'll be at Rua Galeria de Paris, Oporto, at Urban Crafts fair!

It will be a new experience and we are very excited about the idea: me and my buttons!

A reportagem | The report:

Tivemos de reduzir a nossa banquinha ao máximo para a podermos transportar facilmente no comboio Lisboa-Porto. Levámos algumas novidades e correu tudo lindamente! Excepto o calor! Muito! Abafado! Arrasador!

Temos de salientar a visita dos amigos que animam sempre esta nossa vida de feirante e que sem eles não seria tão bom e o restaurante/bar Galeria de Paris: adorei! A decoração era tão tão interessante e a comida muito boa!

À noite, tivemos muitos visitantes, muita gente de copo na mão. E imenso cansaço.

Um dia destes voltamos :D

We had to reduce our market stand to the most so it could be carried on Lisbon-Oporto train easily. We took some new products and it went beautifully! Except the heat! Sultry! Killer!

And there's allways the good visit of friends that animates this market stand life of mine and without them would not be so good. I liked also the restaurant/bar Galeria de Paris: I loved it! The decor was so very interesting and the food great!

In the evening we had many visitors wit glass in hand. And an immense tiredness.

One day we come back :D

Eh carapau!

O caraças disto tudo, é que ele já cá não está e que só me apetece abraçar a minha mãe e dizer "Mas tu ainda cá estás! E por isso, temos de aproveitar tudo." ou como ela diz quando compra o 4568974º par de sandálias "Um dia ainda morro..."

Generosidade_ Generosity

Sabia que uma senhora do Norte me tinha enviado botões há já bastante tempo e que eles esperavam por mim em determinada morada em Lisboa. Hoje fui, finalmente, buscá-los. E deitei as mãos à cabeça: SÃO QUILOS DE BOTÕES! Nem sei como os consegui trazer!
Assim se demonstra a minha tese: o mundo só precisa de mais generosidade. Pelo que percebi não custou dinheiro fazer este gesto, mas esta minha amiga perdeu algum do seu precioso tempo para me fazer chegar esta relíquia que eu agradeço tanto! Ou seja, basta querer para se ser generoso. E isso transforma a minha amiga numa grande Felizarda!

I knew a lady from North sent me buttons for quite some time and that they were waiting for me at a certain address in Lisbon. Today I finally got them. And raised my handsto my head: there were KILOS OF BUTTONS! I don't know how I could carry them!

This shows my thesis: the world just needs more kindness. For what I know it did not cost money to make this gesture, but that my friend has lost some of her precious time for me to get this relic that I thank her so much! In other words, it only takes wanting to be generous. And that makes my friend a great Felizarda (=lucky)!

Big in Coimbra!

Nunca me imaginei a ser conhecida em sítios onde nunca estive. A minha personalidade não é de todo a de uma vedeta, mas foi como as pessoas de Coimbra me fizeram sentir: havia quem conhecesse o meu trabalho, quem o seguisse, quem tivesse ido a correr para casa para o ver na televisão, quem o tivesse comprado já há bastante tempo e não tivesse esquecido, quem o quisesse levar para o estrangeiro. E isto tudo começou assim que comecei a assentar arraiais no Mercado Quebra-Costas. Se o meu ego estava com algumas nódoas negras - porque a vida não é fácil e às vezes as pilhas descarregam - ficou logo fresquinho como uma alface! Senti um carinho tão grande em Coimbra que fiquei com vontade de ir para lá viver. As pessoas são bonitas, educadas, afectuosas, despretensiosas.

Esta foi a minha experiência em Coimbra e, por isso, vou lá voltar sempre que me deixarem.

Ainda não estou em mim com esta recepção de maneira que vos deixo com as imagens deste último Sábado.

I never imagined myself to be known in places where I've never been. My personality is not at all of a superstar, but it was how people made me feel in Coimbra: there were people who knew my work, who followed it, who had gone to rush home to watch on television, who had purchased long ago and had not forgotten, who wanted to take abroad. And it all started as I started to set my stand in the Quebra-Costas Market. If my ego had a few bruises - because life is not easy and sometimes batteries discharge - it soon became fresh as a lettuce! I felt so much affection in Coimbra that I was willing to live there. The people are beautiful, educated, affectionate, unpretentious.

This was my experience in Coimbra, so I'll go back whenever I can.

I'm still out of myself with this reception so I leave you with images of last Saturday.

Lá fomos nós à Crafts & Design no Jardim da Estrela. Correu bem melhor do que imaginava, apesar do calor imenso que tivemos no Domingo. Foi simpático e sabe sempre bem estes 2 dias passados no Jardim.
Deixo-vos com duas meninas que levaram coisinhas Do Not Push My Buttons! ehehe

Well, we went to Crafts & Design market at Jardim da Estrela. It went a lot better than I'd imagined, inspite of the terrible heat on Sunday. It was nice and it feels always nice spending two days at the Garden.
