When we reach 1500 friends on Facebook, there'll be such a huge SURPRISE! You will love it so, so, so much!

Obrigada // Thank You

Like the Oscar winners who thank the mother, the wife or the husband, the parakeet, the agent, the grandfather, Hollywood, I come to thank my things. And they are really "things" in the truest sense of the word:

À minha máquina fotográfica:
To my camera:
Ao meu "Xana-móbile":
To my "Xana-mobile":

À minha máquina de costura:
To my sewing machine:
Ao meu computador:
To my computer:
None of them ir high-end or even last generation, but we know each other very well.
Thank you for not failing me (don't you have any ideas now!), for allowing me to realize my projects, for letting me share them with the world, for making my life easier, for taking me where I need to go!
And of course, my pets, who keep me company on my solo work.

Não há-de chover sempre! // It won't rain forever!

I have a call to the "generation that feels silly": instead of demonstrations that lead nowhere and only serves to show up on the news, please:
  • Refuse all unpaid internships in interviews! If everyone refuses, they won't be anymore.
  • Negotiate the terms of the independent work (if there isn't any other solution, provide a service in fact and do not accept the skedules nor the place of work and submit your terms and conditions)
  • Show the bosses that a lasting contract is better than a 3-month as it is easier "to wear the shirt" by the company that welcomes us and counts on us,
  • Show them that hiring a graduate is more profitable because they know how to make the company save money and bring more efficient solutions!
  • If you can't find work in your area, no one dies: you can find talents that you wouldn't ever imagine that you had and even at the most modest jobs you learn many useful things.
I am part of this generation, but I'm not silly! Nor I do just what I'm told to do.

Life isn't what I expected, but my parents' life wasn't the way they expected either and they raised me. The fault is not theirs nor of their generation.

The IGNORANCE is to blame, which still prevails in our country where receptionists have better wages than creatives, where people are hired and fired after 2 months of work just because, where high-quality material is produced and makes it available only for abroad, where the potential of employees is not suited to the functions they perform.

While companies are run by idiots and narrow minded morons (from any generation), there is no place for us. Therefore, it seems to me that the path is to use what we learned in our studies, think hard, accept the help and knowledge of our parents and of their generation and form ourselves a new generation of entrepreneurs where we will NEVER make anyone work without pay, where the salaries are more equitable and where the potential of each will be helpful and appreciated.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not speaking without knowledge of the facts. But I don't rest my arms and I'm here for the long haul.

It won't rain forever!

Dar à luz // Giving birth

... bonecos! Dar à luz bonecos!
... to toys! Giving birth to toys!

Sábado-feira // Saturday-fair

Oh I like my fair at Mercês so much! Apart from potatoes and cabbages and oranges and tangerines and fabrics at prices of rain, this time there were ... BUTTONS! Ok, they were not so cheap, but they are very nice and I like them!

Não está certo. | It's not right.

How can a person see the birth of her friend, take care of her, grow up with her, have her company and then has to say goodbye because her old lady body has had enough?
It's not right. It's not.
